Letters In The Fire Workshop
Welcome to "Letters In The Fire!" In this 10 week course, broken up into two sessions, we'll discuss how Taylor Swift has approached writing differently with each new era of hers, and why experimenting with unique approaches to your own writing process can cure writer's block and help pen the poems you can hear in your mind but can't quite actualize.

Each week will focus on a different era of Taylor Swift's discography, moving linearly from Taylor Swift to Midnights (plus an optional Tortured Poets Department end of class celebration). We'll analyze lyrics from her albums as well as corresponding poems, from poets like Sharon Olds, Richard Siken, Victoria Chang, Natalie Diaz, and more. Each lesson will teach towards a live weekly workshop where each participant will leave with two new drafts.

Currently this class is not in session, but stay tuned!
Testimonials
"This course is perfect for any Taylor fan who has any interest at all in writing poetry, whether just for themselves, professionally, or anything in-between. Caitlin has created such a fun and comfortable environment to not only analyze Taylor's discography, but to learn and talk about real craft elements that we can use in our own writing. I left this course with 20 (!!) poems written at varying stages of development, with a greater understanding of poetic techniques I can continue to use in my work, with an even bigger appreciation for Taylor's songwriting, and with connections to other classmates and Caitlin that I hope will continue to last. I couldn't recommend this course more to anyone who is interested!" -- Emily Rose Miller
