Every writer gets "stuck" every once in a while, but that shouldn't discourage you from working on your craft! Sometimes all you need is a fresh set of eyes to look over your work and help it shine.
That's where I come in! My workshops are designed to be challenging, unique, and, most importantly, for YOU! Rather than searching for general, vague ideas to spark your work, you can sit down and just focus on writing as I guide you through the difficult part--inspiration.
Here's the process! We have a brief, 30 minute consultation to discuss what you hope to get out of a workshop with me (so we're both on the same page!). Booking a consultation is free, and there is no pressure to move forward.
Then, if you decide that we're a good fit, you'll send me a PDF of your current work in progress. This helps me determine what style of workshop would best fit with your writing, and identify any gaps that may exist in your project.
Next, I will develop a workshop for us to do one-on-one over Zoom, in which you'll leave with three new drafts tailor-made to fit into your project. My turnaround for this is generally 2 weeks.
Finally, the workshop! Over the course of 90 minutes I will guide you through three writing prompts. We'll read and discuss poems together which work in tandem with these prompts, and you'll have an opportunity to share the poems you write with me for immediate feedback. Writing time is included in this 90 minutes, so you will leave our session with three new drafts!
After, I'm happy to provide support in terms of reading your work and answering any questions about publishing or writing.
